It is easy to play blame game and sound concerned, but where was this government when all this illegal construction was being done??? Even now there is no mention of those who are being relieved by removal of encroachments / clearing of commercial structures in residential areas that have made these colonies not fit for living.
If Delhi government wants to really do something, they should punish the builders and officials who have caused these structures to come up in the first place. Only then they have moral authority to either go to court for regularising small extensions or take any action against those. As long as the SHARKS in this are allowed to go scot-free, we are going to keep running into these problems again. This is high time when legitimate residents organize themselves against colluding builders and government officials like we did against BSES.
