The author's views can not be found fault with.With his professional experience he knows the problem of terrorism in all its entirety. But to think that the present actions on terrorism are to be dispensed with as they have failed to deliver is an oversimplistic solution.But for the efforts being mounted now the problem would have aggravated and the feeling of insecurity felt by the people at large would have been on a larger scale One thing that has to be said but seldom expressed is that in today's world terrorism is being promoted and practiced by one group of people.They have institutionalised set up to propogate the cult.but no one would like to name them.Atleast at present the root of terrorism lies there.Let people understand why they do this and tackle them intellectually If they can get away with murder as they are now doing,with the authorities handling them with kidgloves it wont take long for other groups to retaliate even as a means of survival S.Ramaswamy
