SPEAK THE TRUTH
by Vivek Harry on Aug 26, 2005 07:11 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

When the PM speaks true lies like "150 million but no Al Qaida," we see how serious he is in the war on terror. What then are LET, Jaish, SIMI, Hizbul if not the different faces of this hydra-headed monster? It is these kind of institutionalized lies right from prepartition period which have protected this terror. We need to boldly hold a mirror to these fanatics. We need to do a hard reality check on our so called secular value system which is preventing them from reform. When the SC tells the govt to stop the invasion in Assam, our politicians rush like crazy to enact a new law to protect the Bong invaders. Do we give them votes to defend our country or only defend the minorities? Will these minorities, once they have a majority, even pay scant respect to secularism? Then why are they shouting that they will make an Afghanistan out of Bangladesh. How can our leaders be so shortsighted and traitorous for the sake of a few votes for power? Forget them, why are people blindly voting for those people who only have their own interests in mind? People have to vote not on caste lines but in national interest. Otherwise, the ultimate blame will fall on the janata themselves.

Who cares for our votes? Whom do you vote, all Political parties are birds of same feather. All they care for cheap populist policies. You observe all they are bothered for minority vote, dalit votes, yadav votes etc etc. A party which was known as party with difference proved themselves that they are with no difference. Today they folk together to change SC verdict(backward vote), says it was not the day of partition but 6/12/92 was the saddest day of their life(minority vote).Whom do you trust to give your representation? You decide not to vote, it does not matter; even if some body gets 10% or 5% support of people they can do raj in this country. There is no bar for a known criminal to contest and win and make legislation in their favour, there is no bar that a representative must have atleast 40% votes of total eligible votes or atleast total casted votes. We people are definitely to be blamed but can any body tell us a solution when you have to choose from a basket full of rotten apples. You say you yourself contest but where is money, network etc etc required to contest and win. So we feel let this country go to hell but not till I am alive.
