the next time someone asks "But India is so poor. More than 230 million people live below the poverty line." in the context of N bombs & tech.. I am gonna strangle them...

why do we have N bombs??? Is it for Kalam & his mates to play with in parliament gardens & to satisfy their cravings???
The idea is to protect our Country.. to be able to decide how our country should be run by ourselves...
If we can run our country ourselves, this poverty( imposed on us due to 700+ yrs of colonialism) can be conquered & wiped off...
if our secuirty is not strong enough, then our country will have been run based on the interests of other countries..
that will mean we can't have access to energy sources & will be severely restricted in employment generation.. this means the poverty will get worse???
so its no N bombs vs poverty.
Its N tech/bombs as one of the tools that can be used to remove poverty..
