I keep seeing columns trying to find reasons to justify terrorism. Did the Iraq War provoke 9-11? No. There was no justification for 9-11. Did removing Sadam Hussein and his Stalinist government promote democracy in Iraq? Of course. Yes. Did Sadam not kick the inspectors out of Iraq just a few short years after his government's covert nuclear, biochem weapons programs were uncovered? Yes. Did Iraq abide by the terms of the truce signed in 1991? No. The attacked planes overseeing the no fly zone on almost a daily basis. I used to wonder why the US was friends with Pakistan when India is a democracy with freedom of religion. Now I realize that there is so much anti-Americanism in India that antagonizing Pakistan would be a fools errand. No matter how much aid over the decades to India. No matter how strong the trade ties, there is a distortionist network (mostly of old Stalinists) out there that will work with anyone trying to bring down western civilization with all it's liberties and economic (free market, private ownership, etc.) advantages.

Jack, it's no surprise for u, if American, once again see the problem through the wrong way.I agree 'Iraq' is no right reason for any kind of attack.But, definetly, the policies of US & UK are.I can discuss/prove them with articles from ur very own Western media.But, we hav restriction on the amount of what we can say here in this 'comment section'. So, let me try to clear u that we were/are not anti-'any nation'.India, in general, never preaches hatred. But, ur US(&UK) policies & reactions from people like u make us appear so.E.g in 1971, when Pakistan was terrorising East Pakistan & their Generals were on genocide, US did nothing to stop.Despite India asking US Govt. to make them stop so.Our self-defence made u guyz think that we are anti-US.Ur very own US media was stating the real facts about Pakistan then.But, US was blind then.Most of the Western media undermine the terrorism in Kashmir.Proof- u are not known to the 'terroism' term itself until 9-11. The reason we, atleast some, still believe US is bcause there r some US citizens who know the truth.Do a thorough research on India's stand in Intl affairs. NOT in Paki media.But ur very own Western media.U will understand.
