It is really tragic as to what happened because of the downpour. It is true thousands of people suffered and many lost their lives. What stands out apart from the inefficiency of the management system is the true spirit of a mumbaikar. People helped each other, helped little kids, ole people without any discrimintion of cast or creed. Many went out of their way to give a helping hand to the trapped unfortunate victims putting themselves in grave danger. If you can sacrifice your time and almost your life to save another's, can't you strive to become more independant and stop relying on the government and corrupt officials to make decisions and impement them?. I am sure each mumbaikar deep inside is filled with the urge to do something, to come up and rise above the tortures which have always been inflicted on this beautiful city, be it bomblasts or nature's will. This is the time to come together and put aside our differences and fight for a better mumbai, a city which can and will shine above all when the people living in it learn to love and respect it. Here's to a cleaner and greener mumbai in the years to come.
