Awareness is necessary
by Neer Thadarai on Aug 03, 2005 06:14 PM   Permalink

Tuesday was the horrible day in the history of Mumbai. Its not that it happen for the first time but its been happening for decades. The only difference was it didnt happen so severe. There were water clogging everywhere during the rainy season. Even the heavy downpour for about 3-4 hours used to shut down the railway lines and many roadways. Its the utter ignorance and illiteracy that has created this worst situation. Blaming each other is the easiest way to cover yourself, but to face it and come out with the solution should be the attitude.

Weve been observing the same situation from time and again but did nothing for years. Nobody thought of the consequences of ignoring those small incidences neither the government took the initiative to think over the facts. One fine day people suffered from such unforgettable incident and the whole country was shocked. The life goes on even if something happens to the city. First the Bombay blast incident, now the flood.

Whom to blame? Lets not blame anybody! Lets educate people! Atleast you can try to educate your own family members, because Charity begins at home.
