With the Rupees 500 crore grant is the Vilasrao Deshmukh govt going to answer those precious lives lost due to their inability to contain such a disaster??? We agree it was a natural calamity - Ms jayalalitha also faced a much more serious situation during the Tsunami . Had the 500 crore been utilised earlier prior monsoon by doing a good job of cleaning the drainage system ,things could have been in better controll .The road widening project at the western express highway has also been progressing haphazardly. At the stretch of Thakur complex incompleted widening of the roads as well as covering the drainage system was left halfway through due monsoon. This shows how organised our city planners are. The compound walls of buildings adjoing this developement gave away and water gushed in submerging the ground floors and destroying cars and other properties. Will the vilasrao deshmukh government repay all the loses suffred by the tax paying Citizens of Mumbai ... Wake up MUMBAIKARS... Elect a responsible Govt who can clean up corruption and who can bring back MUMBAI to those glorious days of happy living.
