Swayamsevaks in Flood relief

Mumbai was in chaos and it was the swayamsevaks who
got down to work away from the cameras and newspapers.
Here is the brief of the work done by the

The media has never been to places where the
swayamsevaks were working, the dedicated volunteers of
the Sangh were involved in basically imporant
precautionary and life saving acts.

Removal of debris, boulders and muck at sakinaka land
slide, mandala (Chembur), BARC colony.
Safe passage to 250 commuters from ghatkopar to Thane
by Vikroli Nagar secretary from his own vehicle.
Provided boarding and lodging to victims in
Swayamsevaks houses almost 500 of them in prabosfh
nagar & Unnatnagar.

Help Centres : 22
Beneficiaries : 76
Helped families : 8,000
sanitation : 35 garbage cleaned, 22hamlets cleaning fumigation, water purification.
Emergency Housing : for 8 days - 16 places,
Plastic sheets for housing : 400
mats bedsheets : 2000
Total camps: 8: 9 days
Chlorovat water:3,000 bottles
Food:2000 people
Distribution of food:20 tn,
Tea n Sugar:135 kg,
Milk : 4000 lts,
Volunteers involved : 1200
