Freedom fighters are not alive

Hi Rediff,

India has more population than any other country.
In terms of Aids or Robbery or Murder, why the count is not done based on Ratios?
i.e consider we have two cities 'A' with population of 100 & 'B' with population of '50' & 2 Crimes have happened in both the places. Now how do you judge about the city, do you say both are equal? Do you find it is logical?

As per my understanding % of murders happening in India is 32719/1,129,866,154 = 0.0028%.

Which is hardly 0.003%, do you still say India is a murder capital.

Pls. for the god sake try to find good points about India rather than such crap news. I agree crime rate is increasing but comparatively it is less than any other under-developed countries and definitely will not be No.1 in the list of 'Crime' or 'Aids' etc. India is growing well, thanks to capitalism, literacy rate is increasing & every thing will be controlled one day if more new rules are brought related to law & economy.

Thanks
Karthik

When someone say the statics , he should compare all the parameters, whatever they want show in public.Otherwise it is totally unacceptabel. I am fully agree with Karthik statement.

Well done.

by relying on statistics and changing it to a decimal percentage, you can't ignore the fact. Ask those who have lost their near and dear ones in those gruesome murders.

i can recall one incident when a brother killed her own sister in his own house and his lover as well with a sharp object,he surrendered went to jail and came out free after only three months,he is an influential businessman of our area.then we can think of the crimes committed in the dark of the night or in some shoddy place and the law merely says that for lack of evidence no one is convicted. Its coz of not laws i think but of the law enforcing agencies.authorities.
