Solution to fuel Crisis!!
by kuldip nair on Jun 12, 2008 04:56 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Hello friends,
I have an idea.. Sorry if i sound stupid.. But why cant some big player like reliance start manufacturing electric cars & bikes with detachable batteries. With a tie up with government, there should be outlets every 5 kms where they can exchanged used batteries with recharged ones. Like they can call up a center even one day in advance, so that the demands can be satisfied.
Would it be possible?

Great Idea! Even i thought on same lines for e-Bikes where we can provide fast replacement of battery with charged one and all the batteries will be charged using solar PV Panels..

Kudos to Kuldip Nair and Vishnu Sharma..

Rajesh.. Your point is also right.. But electricity is renewable but Fossile fuel is not.. !!

If you can find a way to re-charge batteries using sun light even a trip to the outlet can be avoided.

It all boils down to ultra-powerful battery technology.
