They say Mansingh a rajput king , got married his sister to Akbar and joined the court of Akbar.History does not throw how sister of Mansingh took Akbar.The film maker of Jodha -Akbar endeavoured to trace the sentiments of Mansingh's sister.Name nothing is more concerned.Jodha might derive its name from her native place 'Jodhpur' or being 'rajputani' (princess) she might be an 'jodha' skilled in warfare.

It was not Mansingh but Bagwaandas. mansigh was Bhagwaandas's son which makes the pricncess his aunt.
