I am not sure like many others that the claims of USA & NASA on moon landing are true. It is more likely to be a slow motion movie .. Even as of today with the great leaps & bounds in Technology, we had Kalpana Chawala & others burnt alive on return from Space Lab which is just 300 KMs from earth as compared to MOON which is around 400,000 KMs from Earth! Knowing USA very well, there is no valid explanation why all moon missions are aborted abruptly after 1976! Yes, probes can/are being sent to far away planets, but let us not kid ourselves, about the moon landing in 1969 otherwise can anyone explain why any other country in the world feels that the earliest for next moon landing would only be in 2018!

Well, even if the consipracy theory is true, that was just the 1st landing. After that, they've done nearly 7-8 landings. Shuttles for landing on moon are not like flights ready for take-off. They've stopped the project in 1970's and they're building from scratch (ofcourse, lot of technology from past is also being used). Don't always be cynical.

Are you convinced with your argument? Why no country feels that it is not possible to place man on moon before 2018? Do not be naive to Global realities where sometimes political compulsions make countries BLUFF.

That hoax is just a shit !!...Remember when the TV broadcasting of moon landing was happening at that time seven other countries were following the signal and the direction of the signals coming from..they are all sure that the signals are coming form the MOON..also they bring te rocks form moon whose composition can never be found in earth soil

Were you out there that day with a telescope to be so sure? That's what Halum mentioned in the above post. Other countries (including the major enemy of US, USSR) were following the landing using sophisticated equipments and they found it authentic.

Man! are you ignorant!!! My uneducated grandmother believed that it is impossible too..... It will be better if you READ a little before you ask these questions. There were hundreds of 'Amateur' scientists who received Telemetry data from the Moon during the entire moon landing. For your information, this cannot be duplicated in ANY manner!! Some people say it is a hoax; but then, these are usually the people who 'see' things that DONT exist!!! ( like ghosts, devils, blackmagic etc.,) 1. It is not necessary to 'go' to the Moon any more, unless it is to start a colony there. Whatever information that was needed has already been investigated through various moon missions. 2. The 2018 you are talking about is to make the technology ready , so that a Moon base is set up for men to live there. 3. The technology for the Moon base is fast devoloping. It may not take upto 2018 at all and will be much earlier than that. 4. It is not easy to -like you say- "place man on moon" just like that. Do your homework: do you know the temperatures on the Moon??
No one is in a hurry , because there is nothing much profitable on the moon TILL now, thats all.

Dear Dr.Venkatesh,
I am not sure what homework you have done before putting in your views!
1)The temperature on Moon is same as it was in 1969 2)2018 is the next probable year for Manned mission to moon with the current Technological advancements and not for Colonization 3)There is no Telemetry Data except a relay from a US Satellite which is supposed to have picked up the signals from Moon!
While in USA, I tried to get the details of the Moon Lander from my friends who could not provide much info(the companies who made it, tested it etc)
As far as the 'Profitable' statement is concerned, I feel you should be quite a bit naive to make that kind of statement.
I again repeat that the political compulsions at that time made USA bluff as they are doing about 'Mad Cow Disease' now

but the reason enough to say none can reach moon is that van allen radiation belt, their is no shield developed yet that can protect humans from it..
go on read wiki clearly about van allen radiation beltt
and one more thing...... isnt it strange that the scientists of entire world are not good enough to go beyond 400 miles in the space except amrikans who say that they have travelled about 400000 miles........... Think about the facts before nobbing your head to agree anything.

you are wrong pathetically...Even Dr van allen had once told that the radiation belt will be dangerous if you stay there for a couple of days..the apollo 11 paaased the barrier in within 30 mins..the radiation cause no effect or as mild affect as we face in ground for a duration of 3 years.. The van allen radiation belt is like a ring not like shell covering earth..so for a roket it is easy to bypass and go through the minimum radition area... Man, you should go and check the fact rather speculating it... Americans in 1969 have spent more than 2000 hrs of space flight than russians..they are advance than russians...please read all the facts..for your information Japaneese sattleite probe did get a picture of apollo 17 landing site in the moon... The Moon hoax craters are some journalists and having no technical reasons..so as those who belive in hoax..moron..
