We can't stop terrorism as long as we don't address the basic issues.Thats why we have our own terrorists inside like maoists and naxals.That is bound to happen when we eat pizza of 300Rs and the people are not getting even one grain of rice.we need to educate people,eradicate poverty,otherwise there will be always differences and people will kill each other in the name of caste,religion and state.

per capita income in India has doubled in the past 5 years. Poverty eradication is moving on at a fast pace, but it will still take time cos of the huge size of the problem. Are you suggesting that we should not nip islamic terrorism in the bud, and handle it later on when it has reached huge proportions.

There is a strong link between poverty and terrorism. It is very easy to use poor and illiterate people in the shameful act of terrorism by there masterminds. When there is a big economic difference in a society then economically strong people will dominate the poor and it creates a frustation in the people below poverty line. In most cases, these people are used by terrorists for there ill intentions to create problem in the country. You can see that the countries which has better economic structure (I mean less economic difference in society) there is negligible acts of terrorism.

hello Sujoy chakravarty, show me a hindu who, out of poverty, became a terrorist? they might become pickpocketers or gang thieves, not terrorist....they never bomb in cities causing 100's of people die every year.
only muslims, how rich they are....become fanatics n terrorists. so poverty has nothing to do with terrorism. learn some basics first and then write something

anyways, almost all terrorist, especially sucide bomber till today is either from middle, upper-middle class family, or high class family .... this include super rich osama bin laden, upper middle haneef and crew from bangalore due to which PM can;t sleep... or even the middle class sucide bombers from Germany that studied hitlers Amerika bomber project in hamburg, and given it a reality shape in America...
one more thing... empowering your enemy in this self guilt is biggest mistake.. perhaps you never studied economics in terrorism that well... money is requred even to buy nail and ball bearings used in bombs.. RDX is far costly... so what did we do ? we provide Islamic banking as a tool to collect that money.. ignoring that fact that islamic banking was the main reason behind indian partition, which empowered islamist so much that they were able to buy weaponary to kill fellow indians and give shape to their project to craft pakistan our of india..
P.S. ... it hurts, but poor peoples struggle for food... and thus fall in trap for political votebank. rich people have no such struggle, money ensure that family will not starve... sucide bombing is free, as they dream of some islamic golden age.... a 43 yrs span period in islamic history under rightly guided caliphs, that were butcher by fellow muslims

the relation is there my frind, only the islamists are not the terrorists.The maoisists,naxals, naga,cookies are also killing so many innocent people every day and this is done out of frustration of not having anything.Virtuality,per capita income doesnot ensure that the wealth is distributed.DO you know how many people are below the poverty line? I am not at all supporting the terrorism,but I am just trying to get the solution.POTA and all other punisment will take care of the criminals when the crime is done,the innocents people has lost their lives.I am tryiing to propose a solution which will stop the terrorism itself.

Forgetting the violence of the Parivar, the excesses of the Bajrang Dal, the Gujarat shame by the VHP, and the indoctrinated RSS?
You would see, the rich and the educated provide the poisonous ideology, the poor go out and indulge in violence. Maim, Burn, Kill. It is the same same everywhere, in every case. It is the new exploitation of the poor by the privileged.
And you see the privileged, the effeminate cowardly ones who would faint if violence went near them, spewing venom and calling for violence. Always there is the poor, the misguided ones to execute horrible violent fantasies this cowardly lot.
The only solution is to ban all religious parties and outfits, whether Muslim, Hindu or Christian. Muslim league, BJP, SIMI, Bajrang Dal, VHP... et al. All should go.

not only religion but also caste based parties too. They divide our country and people which is the biggest cause for all these problems. But who will ban these parrties. It is only we people who can ban these parties by making an awareness between poor and illiterate people. How many of we people are ready to go to the remote villages and aware the people of our countr. That's the big question?????????
