As has been put correctly by BJP,the aplicability of the Hyde Act to this deal is potential threat to derail our strategic nuclear program. The opposition of BJP to this kind of deal is very logical.just saying that law of the land is one's domestic problem,does not affect this bilateral agreement is untrue. An American President is bound by the law of his country.The moment we explode any nuclear device (or probably a laboratory experiment) may invite an adverse inference. Yes, we do need an international nuclear cooperationb but, certainly not at a cost,present or future,which prohobits us from becoming a military power of reckoning. Thus invite opinion of your readers on applicability of Hyde Act on this deal and space it (the Act) provides India.
