My Doubt Regarding 123 agreement
by nikhil chandrasekhran on Jul 03, 2008 05:01 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

What will be the cost for per unit of energy?
Why we are not tring for a ecnomical alternative for energy shortage?
Why Cant we develop our own nuclear plants based on thorium which is plenty in india?
Is it possible develop our own technology for nuclear energy?
(According to this deal testing is not prohibited but US president have right to rethink regarding this deal)
If US (president) cancelled this deal then whose is responsible for disposing the nuclear waste?
If Nuclear Suppllers Group denies us to supply the fuel then wat will we do?
As long as our neighbour contries are not signed in Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) what we can do for our security?
Is there any clarification we got regarding the reusing of the fuel?

If Somebody know the answers please respond.

1)expected 10 rs as currently it is 6.85
2)becoz we can invest in wind energy along sea cost that can produce enough energy and hydo in Norteast but govt want to go for Nuclear to fill their swiss pocket
3)It is already designed but practically not possible coz of transuranic Plutonium is needed for efficent use of Thorium
4)dont know
5)100 Billion$ will be waste
6)No need to think about it CTBT ..we wont be signing it ......as far as neighbour is oncerned they have enough one esp. China so we cant sign CTBT
7) No Idea
