We do not judge a person by his background alone (unless it is criminal one!). A person who has put in hardwork to succeed in career is seen with hopes by the people who are frustrated with the existing leaders. The filmy charisma may be shortlived. Once some real results are shown, one can stay strong. Mere charisma is not helpful atleast for now.
When NTR entered politics, there were no other political parties and Congress was the sole party from 1953 to 1982. People were very frustrated and there was a strong anti-congress wave. Now the TDP has gained strength; BJP has become stronger; CPI and CPM are showing their presence; TRS may be able to split the votes; Lok Satta of Jaya Prakash is also a strong hope for educated mass. Chiranjeevi has to face all these people apart from handling defectors of other parties entering his party for favours and posts. The more important issue is his being branded on caste basis. There are many negatives. The one positive thing is his blood donation camps and his so far clean no-enemies image. If continues with his image and controls others, there is some hope. An officer who failed in profession joining politics after a long gap is no special entry excepting that he is fighting corruption and unethical activities of politicians. Educated politicians are not in dearth, atleast in AP, the present CM is a Doctor, CB Naidu is highly educated man and most leaders are well educated here.
