The issue as I see it is more social than religious. I apply what you have stated in my personal life out of my own volition. I think you are doing that on your own accord. The question is what should you do if a mob comes and enforces that you should agree to so and so statement. I think you will not agree to be forced into anything even if it is right.

All religions are meaningless and absurb with one EXCEPTION, can you name it?
Hint: The religion which has 56 BEST countries under its fold.
