20 people attended her function because it is her first visit. If she went again, it will be just 2. In India, anybody can be a Minister or President if they supported by ruling party. But just a position can not buy respect from other countries. They are looking things like personality, performance, popularity & ability to deliver intelligent messages to public, etc. She failed to get any repsect in india & others know it. She is a disappointing President of India. I think Lalu is much better.

The issue is being confused ! What is shocking is not that only 20 people attended but that 20 people found the time to waste listening to India's rather bland President speak ! The Congress and the left ( I-know-her-personally Bardhan ) wanted merely to snub the NDA and hence rejected a second term for a great President like APJ Abdul Kalaam ! Now they add insult to injury and sent her abroad to tarnish the image of the country ! No point in fretting or fuming !

It just goes on to show yr knowledge of yu own country. Please get yr facts right first. First of all she is highly qualified.. she has a brilliant academic record and has practiced for several years at the Bombay high court. dont just go by looks... she is highly intelligent but then there is little a President can do in India because of the constitution which gives this post limited powers... by the way what did kalam do sa President besides delivering fancy speeches.. in what way did he change India... his hands too were bound !!!
Sukumar - have some respect for Lalu. You are compaing Lalu and Pratibha?
I only hope that Lalu doesnt sue you for insult and disrespect.
You know a rustic named the calf of his cow as Pratibha. After that he only remembers a sharp thing being thrust into his back by the cow - the cow got annoyed and pierced its horns into the rustic.
