Farhan Akhtar is a good director and also a good actor. But SINGING! Hello! He sounds as if he's got a sore throat. Mr. Akhtar CAN'T sing. He just doesn't have the voice. His singing abilities are no better than Atif Aslam (who brays) and Himesh Reshammiya (who whines in a nasal tone). These people are talented , but they have no business taking their audience for granted and subjecting them to such torture in the name of art. Singing is a talent and not everyone is talentedin everything. The art of singing has to be polished through years of dedicated riyaaz.And that riyaaz is also for "wannabe singers" who have a "voice." Nowadays everyone is a self-proclaimed singer and it's "fashionable" to sing, all seem to have GOD's Gift. SAD really sad!

Singing sometimes is about the expression u put in. If we r talking abt Farhan, his voice quality is not the best. though the singing ability is good. Felicity, have u ever tried to sing like Himmesh or Atif?( I dont like them either) but the overall feel of the song & the tune combined catches u. U feel for it. Abt Farhan same can be said, I thought rock needs ur singing voice to be recognisable, sharp(which cuts thru the heart) Farhan has a 'crapy' voice which is like, u know, crape paper. But the expression and the effort together with picturisation and great sound direction hides that.... N thats why i liked it... He cant sing the slow or romantic songs like Sonu Nigam does( I think he shudnt in the future too...) but for rock... He rocks..!!! Forget abt what Farhan can & can't do. Just Enjoy some good IndiRock... Thats it...!!!

yeah sometime we shuld appreciate some out of track stuffs which may not be brilliant but people enjoys and so Farhan too, he did what song demands atleast a different piece from traditional songs..keep it up Farhan!!1

Try to sing tum ho toh or pichle saat dinon mein in the original scale and you'll understand farhan sings quite well.

perfectly rt. nirvana,metallica,deep purple,iron maiden,aerosmith have a huge following coz of the amnt of 'riyaaz' they put in everyday. chill maar yaar.

Who says "Farhan Akhtar is singing in Rock On .... Boss he was crying on the name of singing in whole the film .... i don't like .... stupid Farhan it's not a child's play ... okies.
