The best of all superstars
by KR on May 09, 2008 07:09 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

it is extremely difficult to bridge the gap between commercial and art cinema. There is no other actor in India who does these two kinds of movies alternatively and continues to be among the most saleable stars of India for the last 25 years at least. This man can give us a Virumandi and VasoolRaja in the same year - both entirely different in target audience, concept and impact but common in one aspect - box office success. He has given a rip-roaring Thenaali after the big budget debacle Hey Ram, two back to back comedy money spinners PKS and 5Thanthiram after the disappointing Alavanthaan(Abhay). For the last 40 years this actor has been giving us some of the most impacting powerful movies as well as some immemorable comedy classics. No movie or role is ordinary for him or his fans. This can be seen from the hardships he faces to portray every single character on screen.
Tamil Cinema has literally been blessed with a star like Kamal Haasan!
Long live the King of Movies!
Wishing him all the success for his next ventures - Dasavatharam and Marma Yogi!

Hello Sir, Kamal last blockbuster movie is 'Indian'. After that he had only average and break-even movies. VV is the only profited movie, because of multiplex and Gautham.

Whatever you may speak, but speak the truth.

ha ha ha,.thats a good joke. Also Rajinikanth's last hit was Baasha in 1995. Shah Rukh Khan's last hit was Baazigar in 1991. All these are TRUE, as per Mr. Sam Thomas..:-)

SAM IS RIGHT. VV was a hit only due to Harris jayaraj's songs and nothing else.

Hi Audience check with veeruperumal anandan for the Kamalahasan's movies collection records as he's the one and only guy speaking the truth on this forum and others are lying according to him.

Oh please....Harris Jayaraj's songs could have boosted the cassette sales...Then why did Patchaikili muthucharam which had Harris too bomb at the box office...? And do you think if Sarath had acted in kamal's place VV could have been a hit?

Luv,
Jayakandan
