I do not understand the sentiments posted on Hindi and South Indian actors. Hindi film industry has good actors Ashok Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Guru Dutt, Balraj Sahni, Om Puri, Naserrudin, Paresh Rawal, Dr Shreeram lagoo, Anupam Kher and even Bachchan. So who says South Indian actors are the best. Among Indian actresses Nargis, Waheeda, Meena Kumari, Nutan, Jaya Bhaduri, Sharmila Tagore, Rakhee, Smita Patil, Shabana Azmi, Kiran Kher, Farida Jalal, Tanuja. We should not say Hindi cinema can not compete with South Indian cinema. Evan Malyalayam cinema has not much better actresses what Hindi cinema Had. List me some good actresses and the kind of roles that they have done will you compare South Indian heroines then will bollywood. Or Name me a south Indian actor who has done variety of roles that like Ashok Kumar has done. Might be Hema or Vayjanythi made mark in Bollywood that is because of dance not talent. Bollywood still can take pride in one Nargis or Smita or Ashok Kumar or Sanjeev Kumar, we should not tell Bollywood has not talent. Guru Dutt is acclaimed actor cum director, we do not have one director cum actor that in south still? After seeing Kamal Haasan perform "Sagara Sangam" even Vaijayanthi Mala had criticised Kamal saying Mr Kamal does not know Bharat Natyam. Even the film maker who made the film did not say this, but told Kamal can do Bharat Natyam, dear all, classical dance is still more or large a women choice, I think Vaijaynthi Mala had observed

Padma Subramaniam, a renowned classical dancer south has appreciated kamal's dance in Sagara sangamam. Hello dude, its difficult to master the classical dance just for a movie. Its more than enough if the artist is able to bring the finer nuances in the movie...Did Mohanlal learn classical music for "Bharatham"? Think kamal did more than enough for Sagara Sangamam and he gave 200% justice to the character. Even kamal himself is a director cum actor...And you can definitely rate actresses like Savithri,Revathy,Suhasini, Radhika ,Shobhana and Saritha equally on par with the likes of kiron kher,Farida Jalal and Tanuja...And I just cant laugh more on your inclusion of Rakhee on the list of versatile actresses...What was her contribution to cinema other than playing a sober mother for the likes of Karan-Arjun and Ram-Lakhan?

Boss, Nice to see ur message. But don't put any messages without knowing the fact fully. We accept that Bollywood is also having talented artists. But it doesn't mean that there is no good artists in South India. If u speak about entire South India, then u'll find far far better artists there only than Bollywood. Fortunately South India has produced the finest actors of all time when comparing with Bollywood's fine actors. The incomparable Sivaji Ganesan, Prem Nazir, Nageshwara Rao, Dr.Rajkumar, S.S.Rajendran, MR Ratha, Nagesh, S.V.Ranga Rao, Nagaiyah, Balaiyah, Chandra Babu, N.S.Krishnan, Thangavelu, etc in actors, and again the incomparable Savithri, Padmini, Saratha, Sukumari, Manorama, SriPriya, SriVidya, K.R.Vijaya, M.N.Rajam, Kannaambal,etc in actresses have all graced in the past generation. In the present generation, the 2 best actors India have are Kamalhassan and Mohanlal. Fortunately, both are Southies. We can say so many. Kamalhassan, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Vikram, Surya, Dilip, Vishnuvardhan, Sharath Babu, Goundamani, Vivek, Chandrashekar, etc in Actors and Urvasi, Radhika, Sridevi, Sripriya, Parvathi, Manju Vaarier, Kushboo, Baupriya, Revathy, Meera jasmine, etc in Actresses. This is just to name few. I'm not saying that we are South is superior and North is inferior. I'm saying that North or South, it is India. All are equal. U people don't create any issues unnecessarily and waste ur energy. Think productively and work for the improvement of the country. Cin
