I am proud to be his fan, right from the days of "Nylon Kayiru" his first story published in Kumudam. I recall the days when I waited for Kanaiyazhi issues where he used to write the last page "Kadaisi Pakkam" under the name Srirangam S.R. It was the golden age of tamil literary scene, when he received encouragement from Kumudam`s SAP, Dinamani Kadir`s Savi and Anada Vikatan`s Balasubramanian to name a few. Rather the magazines were after him to publish anything written by him. He was a writer par excellence and belonged to the modern age. His foray into tamil bhakti literature with articles on vaishnava sidhantams was superb. Sujata was liked by one and all - from kids to oldies. Hailing from the same Trichy district, I feel very very proud of him.
