The statement does n't taste good, even if she has not indented to cast any stigma on non-UP Indians. Hindi is not only spoken in UP but elsewhere. Better that she understands speaking is not important it is communicating. I work with so manu UP people, who communicate to their colleagues from elsewhere in the other person's language. Hence the statement cannot be generalised as the view of all UP personnel. UP is very much the part of India as are other states and Hindi is also so much important to India as are other languages. I feel sorry for her such a statement. It undermines only her and none else
