He did play some of the finest sikh characters in movies on war and Defence.
Also Sunny deol in Border, Anupam kher in Bend it like beckham

I agree about Anupam in Bend it like Beckham. It portrayed the hardship that have to be faced by the Sikhs in foreign lands because of their faith.
