Pls try to understand that we Marathis expect you to show sensitivity to our lanuage. Is it not sad that you cannot speak Marathi even after three decades in Mumbai ? While we welcome all Bharatiyas with open arms and minds, we expect them to become one with us; and way to that oneness is thru Marathi.

Dear Vivek. Why is it such a big issue that someone has not learnt a language even after staying in some other state for long. There are many Maharashtrians living here in Bangalore ,and they do not know Kannada. They are contributing to Bangalore and India in their own ways and so is Mr Bachhan for Mumbai. Let us not try to make every one else just like us, if we do that then there is no diversity and no growth. Let people be different the way they are and let us all learn to respect the difference.

Dear Vivek,
you said you welcome all bharatiyas with open arms and mind then why you insist that they should know your language. It is not becoming one with marathi or malayalam.it is one and only indian. Susan
