Hey balu, to whoever he would have said must be kicked, can he use such language. It is unbecoming to the stature of the man. Remember he earns his bread from our state also. In fact many people earn their livlihood from our state. The first provocative statement was given by Karuna, think about that, this was only a reaction. Tell me honestly, arent kannadigas in Tamil nadu, a part and parcel of tamil nadu. One simple question, do you broadcast all kannada channels in tamil nadu. The fact is no. Only sun tvs udaya channel is broad casted in tamil nadu. If a kannadiga wants to see a kannada film he has to come to Karnataka to see a kannada film. This bullying should stop. Now dont say that kannada movies are not worth watching. we had a good run of kannada movies recently and kannada movies are evolving. I am not supporting any violence, i am only saying that if karuna would have silently gone ahead with the project, then maybe there world not have been such misunderstanding. These are only reactions. Even in chennai, 2 restaurents by kannadigas were ransacked, many ksrtc buses were burnt, Do you own responsibility for this??

Not true Bhushan.. There are Kannada channels in TN. I agree that it may not be as many is in B'lore. It's the same for Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam channels. Either they are expensive for the cable operators to relay them or they may be many other reasons. I was in Pune and was very upset that they had only one Tamil channel. But didn't think that "Maharashtra" had things against "Tamil". Why would they? Come on, dude.. Think positively. I am not a Cable person to answer your question with some proofs. But there are some real good answers other than forcing Tamil. Regarding the restaurant attacks, we regret it. Not sure if it is "Tit for Tat". Still it's wrong.. BTW.. "Odhai kodukkanum" in Tamil is more friendlier than "Kicking" in English.. It just means they should be "punished". Not literal "Kicking". It's just common in TN. If you have Tamil friends, check with them.. We use it all the time with Kids. Who is Rajni to kick anyone? Guess he is playing lot with his Grand-son :-) No need for him to apologise.. But if Kannadigas are really hurt, dear friends, we are ready to apologise. Let's get back to normal life...

Kannadiga's should attempt to make meaningful and good quality fillms. I am in Bangalore for the last 20 years I see kannadiga's are more eager to see tamil and telugu films.

Bhushan,

I hope you don't know abt Bangalore fully . Can you tell me how many people who reside in Bangalore watch Kanada movies. I am sure its very less %age watches . I was in Bangalore at Kamanahalli for 8 Years and I think i can give you a better answer for all your questions.

Can you give me some meaningfull movies say for example in the year of 2007 - i am sure you can't reply on this as it null or may be one or two.

I can give you many good films not a commercial one but meaningful movies which tamil industry has given - worth to watch for sure with a message.

About broadcasting , how can you tell that the cable TV dosn't air Kanada channels, I was born n bought up in chennai till the age of 21 . you know from my knowledge I think vat u told is not correct. Please do understand that no one in Tamil Nadu may be who had come from Karnataka has bothered to watch those kanada channels - Sorry to say like this but its the fact u must understand.

Regarding the ransacking and the buses been burnt - i do apologise for that. But u knw one how many times tht tamilians who r residing in Karnataka had been hurt in the past. Its n number of times - i feel some the relatives who had got hurt in the past would have given now. You could just indicate only one incident which had happenned,, now ,, but u have to think how many times,, tamilians in karanataka had been hurt .

I am getting wild and don't knw vat to tell, this is INDIA and i don't knw vat is actually goi

Hello my Frnd Have look at this

BANGALORE: Tamil channels will not be blacked out over the Hogenakkal controversy, even as theatres in Bangalore did not screen Tamil films.

Cable operators under the Karnataka Cable Television Chamber of Commerce, after a mammoth four-hour discussion on Wednesday, managed to convince most Kannada organisations that blacking out channels would not be in the interests of "peace and harmony" in the state.

After the meeting of cable operators and activists ended at 4.30 pm, an internal meeting after 6 pm finalised the earlier decision not to block Tamil channels. Amrith Kumar, representing cable operators, told TOI that the channels had nothing to do with "politics" and operators did not want to trouble viewers and the public. "Viewers are not responsible for what Tamil Nadu CM M Karunanidhi said about Hogenakkal. Karunanidhi has politicised the issue and has made remarks for political gain. We should not react to that by targeting people."

Kumar said cable operators will, however, block Tamil channels on the day of the proposed bandh , April 10 or 12, from morning to evening. Operators have agreed also to block Kalaiganar channel indefinitely "as it is the personal channel of Karunanidhi".

The decision of cable operators was supported by Kannada Gadi Rakshana Vedike, Kannada Sene and Jai Karnataka.

Karnataka Rakshana Vedike has said it would try to talk to the cable operators again to block Tamil channels. "If talks fail, we will protest i

Firstly the KRV and Vattal should educate people to learn to work hard. Other wise naturally people from other parts will come and work in Karntaka, they are within their rights to do so. KRV and Vattal will talk nonsense by being in karnatka, let them go outside the state and see the situation.
