Looking at the reaction of all the people here, it seems that they have wet their pants.
I see many -ans and nairs here who refuse o speak Hindi in their home town because they want to safeguard their mother tongue and their culture. When they do it, it is right but when Maharahstrians do it, it is shame?
Can anyone tell me what is wrong in protecting ones mother tongue and culture?
By the way some of the articles seem to be written by very uncivilised people using very uncivilised language. Can rediff look into it?

There's nothing wrong in protecting one's culture, but that need not be done by flinging mud on other's culture. That shows what ur culture has taught u.
What the -ans & nairs do is also wrong. But just becoz they do the wrong thing, Maharashtrians too need not copy them.
