If large scale migration ( FOR PERMANENT SETTLEMENT )is going to change DEMOGRAPHIC PROFILE of a geographaical area, there is bound to be resentment. Same thing is happening at ASAM also. The political rulers of these BACKWARD STATES ( for last 60 YEARS ) are responsible for this.
