I dont know why SRK fans always bring Amitabh Bachchan into this debate. I still fail to see a comparison.
Amitabh Bachchan is an icon who has entertained millions of indians from zanjeer to Cheenikum. Thats nearly 4 decades.
He is the ONLY bollywood star that has thousands of people outside his house on his birthdays. I mean, which other actor has this appeal??? Even at 65 he had thousands of people wishing him on his birthday outside his house..
Question is how many people would be outside SRKs house when he is 65???
forget 65 how many people come outside his house even now???
AB is the only TRUE ICON. Peole like SRK will come and go.

RAJ kamat you r orthodox there is no way AMITABH BE compared with SRK as what happened to SRK when he tried to imitate him in DON it flopped badly na........so SRK is better in his own style.

This is probably the best comment I read in this huge list. Rizwaz, what you said is more than 100% correct. We should start comparing Shahrukh with Amitabh if and only if he goes upto that level and as you said, what would be his popularity when he is 65. Its really insane that we do this comparison and its showing dis-respect to Amitabh when we do this. Did we ever compare Amitabh with Raj Kapoor or Dilip Kumar?
Amitabh is a living legend and is the finest actor of Indian cinema ever and his class is international. Everybody who has acted/worked with him has only good things to say about him.He is the undisputed emperor of this Bollywood. The only one actor who can probably live upto his expectations after 20-30 years is Aamir Khan, lets wait and watch if he can
