I saw both the movies and here is my comparison with Raja Sen's review. OSO was given 3 stars by Raja and Goal 1 star.
1. OSO a utter masala movie with re-hased story line from 70's / Goal has a neat and engaging script of asians living in the UK.
2. OSO's script in 1 line is about a junior artiste and an actress in 70's get murdered by a villain. THey are re-born and SRK remembers his previous and plot to take revenge against Villain / Goal: a group of asian footballers who dont have the money or skills to play competitive football and their stadium to be taken over by the council. They recruit a reluctant John and a coach who inspire them to win the league.
3. OSO has poor uninspiring performers like SRK, Deepika and others. Goal has excellent performances from all the actors esp warsi, Boman irani & John.
4. OSO has good costumes and sets but a horrible script which is a big drag/ Goal has a very engaging script and keeps everyone in the seat though it is predictable
5. OSO has a few laughs in the first half but you have to leave your brains and logic behind at home. Goal can leave you inspired about team spirit and determination to succeed.
6. OSO deserves 1 star for people who are desperate to kill time and nothing else to do. Goal deserves 4 stars for giving a decent film but strictly for overseas markets and multiplexes.
Raja Sen you are a horrible reviwer. Rediff is wasting their money on you. Perhaps Rediff and Sen have been bribed by SRK.
