Most of the so called big actors whether from Tamil Or Hindi acted first in Kannada movies;
Ex.Rajanikanth - sahodarara saval/Munithai etc
Kamal Hassan - Many movies
Anil Kapur - Pallavi Anupallavi
Akshay Kumar - Vishnu vijaya
Amrish Puri - Kadu
Ompuri - Kadu
Naseerudin Sha - Kadu

The list is big if you have doubt go and check with the Film archives in New Delhi maintained by the Government Of INdia
