"This third installment in the Shrek saga, which has grossed nearly $1.3 billion worldwide and some $1 billion in ancillary sales including DVD, was directed by Chris Miller." - "As for Shrek, it could open to smaller numbers compared to those achieved by Spider-Man 3. The ogre film too could make big waves across the globe. But the big question is whether it will overtake its predecessors, which grossed $920 million worldwide."
What do those two sentences mean by? First one says the Shrek Saga has grossed $1.2 bn and the last statement says whether the third movie can corss 920 million dollars.
How many people wrote this review? Why does not Rediff quality check before publishing? Of course, this information on how much Shrek has grossed is not very important at all, but it irritates when reading an article (review) like this.

If you notice carefully.... It says the SHREK SAGA (the entire series) that has made $1.3 billion. So perhaps you should blame your intellect and comprehension a bit rather than criticizing the Rediff staff!

Monsieur Henry....
Ananth is quite right in what he said.. The entire series without including the latest one, consists of Shrek and Shrek 2 - which are 'predecessors' to Shrek the Third. So if the entire series has grossed 1.3B then how come the predecessors grossed only 900m??

Key words to note here - "Shrek Saga" and "Predecessors". And yes Mr Ananth - it means that there is speculation that the "Last Installment of the Shrek Saga" may/may not overtake its "Predecessors" with regards to the money it may bring in...SIMPLE
