Buy Tickets & watch the movie
by SachinKa Dhaada on May 12, 2007 09:43 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

I Think Raja Sen has to Buy the Tickets with his own money & watch the movie...

Then only he will write a review which resembles atleast 40% of regular movie goers...

Raja Sen... Dont write anything out of your mind just because you are watching the shows without spending (I suspect actually he is getting paid for writing such crap review about a crap movie)

first of all, allow me the opportunity to be blunt wid u.. I don't think u have any notion of a good movie or ur head is so far stuck up in your bottom to realise even if it came and slapped u on the face.. this is way better than spiderman 3 and if u have any sense u will appreciate this film for what it is.. a look at the urban INDIA and how our sensibilities are changing.
The review has done justice to the film and i would have campaigned for the removal of the reviewer from the rediff payroll had he given anythin less 3 stars for this film. while it may not be as haunting as gangster, metro is still a decent fare in itself. now why do i think so? lemme enumerate...

1) absolute worthy performances by all the lead actors... pple to watch out for :- kay kay menon, konkona sen sharma and irrfan khan track, sharman joshi

2) tight editing and some deftly handled scenes (of particular note bedroom scene bathed in red light between shiny and shilpa.. am i the only one who appreciates the irony here??)

3) the band providing the music for moving the story along is a novel idea and refreshing one at that. at no time during watching the movie did it jar ones ears. two notable songs that appear at the correct moments are alvida, alvida and hai tujhe ijazzat.. their timing and placement are spot on

the drawbacks i found were:-
1) shilpa shetty - her acting was nothing to write home about. she is too much of a star and not much of an actor. infact at some places her acting and expression made me wince. she should take a lesson or two from konkona sen. also kangana raut is a waste
2) certain scenes and themes have been lifted from hollywood flicks without any effort made for improvisation eg: the sharman joshi scene whre he shows kangana his dream is a lift of michael fox scene from the film "The concierge"

i have one request to all the potential viewers. donot be put off by the user reviews.. see the film and form ur own opinion..

"let those who have eyes see"
