Beautiful woman

Madhubala with 100% covered body was more beautiful than the less clothes women projected.
Beauty is a god gifted and body exposure does not add to it. It is offcourse individual's choice what to wear and how much to expose.

What is wrong with Indian dressing etiquette?
The dresses we see here are casual in UK except the middle one of half naked woman (shame on you).
How can one class these as best dressed women.
Best dressed provocating Prostitutes of the high society may be.

I agree with your views. However article was Bollywood's best dressed women should have been only dressed women. My comments were in general. There were certain actresses shown in swiming costume even in early 40s in Marathi / Hindi movies but it was in relation to that context and not as a advertisement. Dresses are mainly based on climatic conditions, religion rules if any and current fashion in the region. Hence we can not bench mark between UK and India

In UK the best dressed person is the person who wears a traditional dress during the time it was reviewed
Proper English traditional Frock and leggings are classed as dress it could be knee length or full ankle length or in Indians dress code of Shlawar kameez etc are classed as the proper dress. As the best dressed person the cut, Sewing, Style of wearing and suitability are the main factors of judging.
Not half naked and bodies waiting for a chance to peel of what little they have on.
As for Swimming costume they are not dresses. You don%u2019t see some one walking in the street in Swimming costume.

Sheetal Kaur,

You are right "Dress" has a different meaning when you say best dressed it means being formally dressed. These guys have titled the article wrong. Also it is a hotchpotch of Indian and Non Indian clothing. Which is like comparing apples to oranges.

I agree with your views. However I never claimed Swiming consyume as a dress. However I do not understand why you r taking UK as a std. base? Hope you may be resident of UK. Rediffmail should not have projected such pictures. Self restraint can bring to end to such matters.
