mystery behind madhuri's return
by simransingh on Mar 10, 2007 06:41 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Facts are:

1. She definitely looks old
2. Crash dieting is the reason
3. She does not look happy
4. She is trying too hard
5. Her smile is forced, there is no inward charm
5. She had a successful career for 10 yrs

Questions

1. Why would she want to come back?
2. Why would she leave her husband?
3. Why would she choose to "dance" for people than care for her kids?

Conclusions

There is nothng wrong in acting after any age. But why should she dress, do make up and dance like the sherawats of the world instead of be one who has already achoeved some status and hence take on some mature character roles?

One should behave as per one's status and age.

So you mean there are different set of rules for actors and actresses?
Men over 40/50 can play school boys but a woman arnd 40 cannot play 20 something?

And the questions you posed are typical stereo type...its really none of our business.

Whether she wants to do character roles, lead roles lets leave it to her, rest(outcome) lets leave it to the audience.

no sameer my point is not on whether she should act or not...she is a good actress and if she wants she should. Question is why would a woman want it if she is happy in her domestic life? Which woman would otherwise like to leave her husband in another country and "DANCE" for other men to ogle on while her kids look on??

I am an audience I can opine just as you can. I think it is SILLY to SIZZLE for other men on screen at 40 and that too after having had a successful career in the past. She is lowering herself to the likes of Sherawats and Basus. Pathetic!1 Madhuri can do much better than that!!

I appreciate that you agree that she should act if she wishes too, but I don't like the fact that you say that she shouldn't leave her husband and kid behind to act.

I am a working mom (software engineer) and I work not for money or because I want to flirt with men (like Taliban people will say about women who work in any industry and you are implying that that's why Madhuri is chossing to work). But I work because I like the work I do and I know I am good at it.

A woman can be a good wife and mom and work in any profession she likes and is good at. Just like men. You don't say that a (rich) man is being a bad husband/dad just because he works!

Hahahaha you must be joking. The bolly world is not "any" profession. Her role of a "nachnewali" is not any job. If you have an latent desire to do such things, while being married, leaving your hubby in another country and letting your kids watch you DANCE for others that seriously means there is somehting seriously wrong with the picture you have painted for us. Either you are seperating from your husband. Or you cant stay away from limelight and are willing to do anything for that even become a sherawat after so much success or think people's memory is bad or that we are all stupid.

Her move to come back is a BAD one. At least not in the roles she has chosen. She should have taken mature actress roles what would befit her. This will lead only to her own disaSter.

Simran very surprise to believe that even in todays world there are people like you with so poor mentality towards women. Do you really think after marriage women have no right to entertain herself or to work in a profession where she desires? Its not men but woman like YOU who everytime in jealous mood thinks wrong for WOMEN.

Ms Rachna

You are quite foolish. I never said there is anything wrong in working at any age. But one should take proper roles that suit your age and stature. If she wants to act like some younger dancer, she is calling for her disaster. Cause she looks old because of all that creash dieting.
