New trends in Kannada films
by omni on Jul 10, 2007 04:15 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

It is good news to Kannada film industry as young and creative talents are shaping the future of our films. MM and Duniya are the gr8 examples. Young directors like Soori, Yogaraj Bhat,Nagatihalli, Indrajith Lankesh, Kavita Lankesh are bringing innovative ideas. Even the songs are really great. Mano murthy, Gurukiran etc are bringing new ideas into music direction. This is good trend. But our people should make more originals. Some directors like S Narayan, Sudeep, Ramesh Arvind should stop simply copying Tamil/Hindi movies and make originals. Even the ugly trend of making Kannada songs look like Hindi songs(90% Hindi,10% Kannada) should stop. Also Kannada industry people should do better marketing of good movies and get them screened in all parts of India and abroad like US/UK/Gulf where large concentration of Kannadigas is seen.
Best of luck to Kannada and Kannada films.
