Good films are seldom made, and in a place like India, cine-media is more about profitability than service to the nation. This explicitly boils down to the bitter fact that any film, if made for a mass audience(a commercial blockbuster, for instance) will hardly survive competition from the sedate. RDB should have the central theme constantly harping as in the movie Kurdhipoonal, by Kamal Hassan. I liked his Mahanadi film too. With songs and other hilarious sequences often breaking the flow of RDB , the outcome was no BIG surprise.

Shocked to read your views that indians lack class. Today Indians are acquiring various companies in the world and you say Indians lack class. Now to RDB, it never lacked any class, it is a pathbreaking movie and lots of protests in real life have been inspired by this movie.

Indian Cinema lacks class. not Indians.. Indian film industry is funded by the underworld and so reflects that violent culture. Indians deserve better.
