Oh Yeah,
What is the population 500 people.
Man we Mumbaites are being cursed because of the vaious taxes leavied by our State Government on Entertainment.
But don't worry the days these taxes are removed from Bombay, you will know how many of the rockstars will come to Shillong.
Till that time you can enjoy
See Ya
Bye

I was born and brought up in Shillong. Man, Shillong rocks. People from the other parts of the country can never imagine what Shillong is as far as music is concerned. U can see Rock & Metal getting played in local cabs ... what more a music lover wants !!!

Good to know.
Come back to the Mumbai College Festivals or go to Bangalore College Festivals and you will know how many musicians are there in metros. Not of a viewpoine that Shillong doesn't have those guys, but man the places where I go to parties etc, the guys I meet are playing music not for money or name but only for fun. Guitarist, Drummer, Vocalist. but unkown to the music world.
Well All the best With Shillong.
See Ya
Bye

dear hariharan , first know something before u pseak...we are not here to say that mumbai ppl dont have any love for music...but first come to shillong once and appreciate the deep love of music that the people have ...its a fact and if u want , u can ask any of the international bands who have come here and performed...why else wuld u think that nowadays , apart from mumbai and bangalore , shillong is the third city where every band makes it a point to perform... why dont these bands prefer to perform in delhi , gurgaon , pune , hyderabad and some of the other metros...sponsorship wuld not be a problem...think about it and then comment intelligiently , not like an uninformed and biased person...

Mumbai is a great city, the financial cipital of India but shillong is the place where music and beauty goes hand in hand ... please dont waste time on which is better and which is not. Hail shillong, hail mumbai and long live India .... But at the end of the day truth prevails, shillong is indeed the "Western Music Capital of India...." Cheers
