i work in bangalore.i m a marathi.i take a bus to my workplace.the bus is always filled with close to 150 people and hence no chance of reading something.so i must watch the kannada movie posters.from what is depicted in the posters for example,timma,manmatha..i can safely say that kannada films r the worst in the world.

Ignore Smita's words guys. When people loose their identities they always look at others with jealousy. Ok Smitha we forgive you. But a small question 'Can you please let me know one hit movies in marathi which all people can boast off??. Even if Bal Tackeray come for another generation he can never bring Marathi to the forefront. One more thing, learn to love the language & culture of the land you leave.its not for pleasing the localities because languages are god given gifts to understand one another. When in TN, learn tamil, in Kerala Malayam, Kar- Kannada. Its so nice to know more languages. I have worked in almost all states in South India except in Kerala. But I proudly say i know telugu,tamil & malayalam(to speak), Kannada, Coorgi. I love Languages. If in Maharastra, i will learn Marathi. I promise!!!

But you are comenting on Kannada films. hey guys m frm bangalore n a tamilian... n m not 1of thoz ppl who talk crap abt languages n create difrnce.. m a movie buff... m hapie dat off late kanada mvies standards r improvin... but these remakes piss me off.. wat hapnd 2 al d originality??? i think d nly person who cud hv taken kanada mvies 2 a difrnt level is d late shankar naag... he was a genius.. there is no lack of talent here... its jus dat film makers r hell bent on remakes... just check out mvies like jogi, duniya, mungaru malle r huge hits coz its refreshin 4 evry1 n nt borowed 4m elsewhr.. even though m a tamilian i go by d words "uttidhare kanada nadal utta beku"

Kannada is far better than marathi movies..
Let me tell you almost all language people in banglore watched Mungaru Male which is the biggest hit recently all over india and still running full house..there is one more movie Duniya which is running full house as well.
I agree that there are good and bad movies in all languages.
Being in bangalore instaed of talking about good things ppl like smita are making these silly comments..shame to u smitha.
Jis tali me kati ho usime ched karti ho.
We respect all language movies as well as people but expect the same from ppl who r staying here.
Whats wrong in the name timma ,Manmatha and posters??..U want only bare chested salman Khna posters???? Movies not dependent on looks it depends on stories and perfomance of an actor & director.

Good film for you could be:
- cleanshaved and smiling male leads having lots of muscles and no brains. - white(not fair)skimpily dressed skinny female leads - their running around trees and monkey shows - tears, fighting and 'they lived happily ever after'
You cannot understand that there is more to meaningful movies than glitz, glamour, sound and fury.
