I agree with you fully Aditi, Abhishek exists as an actor because of Amitabh, He (Amitabh) is the most powerful man in Bollywood today, comparable to the status of Steven Spielberg who wields immense power in Hollywood.
In addition, Amitabh has a lot of political clout right from the days when he travelled by local train to shoot for his first film SAAT HINDUSTANI.
Lot of people are unaware that he approached the late writer, producer and director KHWAJA ABHMED ABBAS, (who gave him his first screen break)in the above mentioned film, He (Amitabh) had a letter from Indira Gandhi herself recommending him to Khwaja Ahmed Abbas.
To refresh the knowledge of the younger generation Indians, Indira Gandhi and late Teji Bachchan, Amitabh's mother, were classmates during their studies in England.
See the political connection?
As everyone knows Amitabh is among the mega rich Indians and Ash is obviously using Abhishek as a key to open the doors of money waiting behind which can only be hers IF she weds Abhishek.
Nothing new, as the saying goes, 'History repeats itself'. I shall state examples.
Randhir Kapoor is no looker in a conventional sense,except his fair skin - still Babita, one of the very beautiful and top actresses DID marry him and the whole industry knows, she had and still has an affair with screen villain Ranjeet, YES, Ranjeet, surprised?
Many people have seen Babita and Ranjeet meet secretly in Bombay's top Hotels like Oberoi, etc and the affair is out in the open for decades.
Take a look at Randhir Kapoor's films, and you will see that majority have Ranjeet as villain or as one of the villains; I shall name a few, RAMPUR KA LAXMAN, PONGA PANDIT, HAATH KI SAFAI.
When Raj Kapoor was alive, he was vehemently against the couple (I mean Randhir and Babita) separating or divorcing. Within a year of his demise, Babita split and got Karishma into films (Raj Kapoor died in 1988 and PREM QAIDI, Karisma's debut film released in 1989)
Needless to say, even Randhir Kapoor knows of her affair and on the inside, HE WAS THE ONE ACTUALLY INFLUENCING DIRECTORS/PRODUCERS TO GIVE RANJEET VARIOUS ROLES IN THE MOVIES THEY ACTED TOGETHER!!!! The world of the film industry is HIGHLY ROTTEN ON THE INSIDE, behind the glamour and glitter, the characters of EACH AND EVERY ONE ASSOCIATED , especially women is WORSE THAN CHEAP PROSTITUTES.
When Ranjeet was in hospital in the 1990s, Babita was seen visiting him everyday bringing him lunch/dinner and staying for hours by his bedside. The main question here is, If Babita loved Ranjeet, WHY DID SHE MARRY RANDHIR KAPOOR?
I do not have to answer this question, as I have made my point, but for those super dumb idiots I shall;, THE KAPOORS WERE THE REIGNING POWERFUL FAMILY IN BOLLYWOOD IN THE SIXTIES, SEVENTIES AND UPTO THE EARLY EIGHTIES, baat samajh mein aayi? Ranjeet obviously had the looks and built, he was voted 'he-man' in K.C. College, Churchgate, Mumbai, where he was educated, in the late sixties, and I personally like him for his style, one of my favourite villains, he was tall, dark and handsome, AND, because Ranjeet was a small villain, Babita latched on to Randhir Kapoor for money. Boy!! didn't she get the best of what any woman needs but in TWO MEN!! MONEY FROM RANDHIR KAPOOR AND PHYSICAL PLEASURE AND SEX FROM RANJEET.
Last but not the least, closely observe Kareena Kapoor, especially her cheek bones in a close-up shot and watch Ranjeet in his earlier movies like, HAATH KI SAFAI, VICTORIA NO.203, JHEEL KE US PAR, any from the seventies, HIS CHEEKBONES IN A CLOSE UP SHOT ARE EXACTLY AS KAREENA'S.
So who fathered Kareena. Wide automatic belief is, she is obviously Randhir's daughter, but;

Okay how come Karrena and Karisma have light color eyes if Randhir Kapoor is not their father. Babita and Ranjeet have dark color eyes.

tht was a good info on babita & ranjeet but leave kareena out of it as riddhima (rishi kapoor's daughter)& kareena look like twins & hv same cheek bone
