Although I don't understand Tamil, I have seen some Tamil films while changing buttons in my remote. Their costumes are down to earth, very natural. And most of the movies set at village back ground all characters adorn the same costumes and looks great and natural in the frame. Whereas our Hindi Films all characters adorn western clothes, copying western movies, ideas to do business abroad. They should take their story to villages and bring in true to life stories. In general Southern movies looks far ahead in Technical superiority. Great camera work, music, art, choreography. Good. Keep it up. Let all indians enjoy and review based on their quality and not quantity / language. Keep your mind open guys.

Hindi movies are made in mind keeping national and international viewers. Tamil movies are made keeping in mind the fact that 70% of TN still reside in villages. Since entire India is very recently urbanising Bollywood kinda seems fake but all of us want t o live in cities right now ?

For ur info., tamil movies are lately catching up eyes of other races like thais, malays (both Malaysia and Indonesia)and chinese in South East Asia..
1) Even Indonesians know who is Vikram, how old is he, his movies, and his kids..
2)Witnessed indonesian ladies singing number of tamil "dangdut-typed" song from the movie dishyum..
3) More of chinese and malays prefer watching Rajni's movies..
4) Even our famous malaysian football defender-captain name is Rajnikanth.
5) Among hindi movies, only SRK's runs well here..
6) The rest of hindi movies with 20 ~ 30 in each show..

very biased statement...have you livedin cities like Mumbai or Delhi?? If not go there and see what dress they were... hindi movies normall use the costumes based on the story line...if a movie is supposed to based on life in NewYork, then you should use the similar costume... i have seen both good and bad movies in almost all languages.. you name a language i can tell you both end i.e, good and bad. And if you want to generalise - i would rate hollywood first, then bollywood, then bengali , mallu and then tamil movies...

this is exactly whati wanted to say...you get good movies in all the languages...and let us admit, we have some pref....like me, i know hindi, english, kannada well - hence i can understand these movies really well.. for Tamil,Telugu and Mallu i depend on my friends/reviews...even though i enjoy the good movies there, i dont undrestand every dialogue as i dont know the language perfect... it matters a lot.. you enjoy it fully only when you understand every dialogue....i hope these kind of biased fights should stop...instead, we should help each other in recommending good movies....
