I think its down right unfair to say that Aish is not a good actress. She may not have had many b/o's of late, but look at her past track record....you mean to tell me that HDDCS, Taal, Devdas, Choker Bali, Raincoat and Hamara Dil Paas Hai was not proof enough of her acting abilities???? just to retract all the garroulous mouths here that most of these movies i just mentioned were hits and she received some awards for it! She may not be the best around but still one of the best we have around!
Now it is Umrao Jaan...Rekha is Rekha....she is divine and her acting immortal. Aish may not come up to her standard but i think and honestly believe she will look good as Umrao Jaan with her own style of acting and grace...may not be as dynamic as Rekha-ji but still nevertheless mezmerising!! I agree that she is a director's actress and can bring out a decent performance if utilized in direction well!!
And to add on...she is absolutley an amazing dancer so i think with her classical dance training she will shine!!
Lets hope JP's film is different like how he says!!
