i watched parineeta today as well. you probably were luckier than me to get a complimentary pass. but i could have turned back and watched another back-2-back show but the tickets to the next show were sold out by the time i got out, all floaty and drechned in the magic of light-coloured sepia tones. i think you should have spared the cinematographer some praise as well. the contrasts and old world furniture will be thanking him for a long time, making us wonder how we came to become a generation of wrought iron tea-poys and disposable futtons.

as a wannabe films maker this is one film that I truly truly hoped, i had the right contacts to be a part of the directorial team. absolutely musty watch.

and while on the subject of vidya ballan, don't you think she almost makes you want to protect her? and the steadyness with which she drops her gaze, just daring saif to make her raise it with intrigue or interest, whichever he manages, was not just bold, but the authoritative, 'i-own-this-man' shown through, without much being said was wow!
