Most of the time the policy adopted by states is not justifiable whenever they acquire lands and public resources in the interest of public utility. The compensations are not in proportion of the loss to the property owner.

The property prices shoot up when projects are annponced and people demand astronomical sums. People who were living hand to mouth expect to become rich over bight s. Show me a single singur farmer who earns more than one lac a year ? With this mentality we could never have developed Railways and other infrastructure. Mamta is the enemy of W B.
