ITS UNFORTUNATE THAT TATAS HAS CLOSED DOWN THE PLANT BECAUSE OF DIRTY POLITICS OF MAMATA BANERJEE. ALL THOSE POLITICIAN BEHIND THIS SHUTDOWN SHOULD BE STOPPED FOR CONTESTING THE FUTURE ELECTION.

Aur kuchh!

I wonder why you stopped here. You must have demanded hanging of Mamata. There is a person named Ratan Tata who is so adamant about not releasing the 400 acres of land while an equal amount of land is available just across the highway!

It is not the Nano factory of Tata that's shut down. Go to Panthnagar and look at its Voltas factory that produces AC and refrigerators. The whole plant has got not even a single fan for the workers, most of whom are on contract service. This plant has a huge inventory and now is almost shut down for a couple of months. How many local people did get a job in the Voltas factory at Panthnagar?

The Tatas are only blackmailing the people of Bengal, just the way they blackmailed the people of rest of India.

What we need is better safeguards for the farmers whose life is uncertain given the whims of the plutocrats like Ratan Tata. No doubt it was a bad decision for the farmers of Singur that their plot was chosen for the car factory. Even in West Bengal there is lot of barren land available in dsistricts like West Midnapur, Bankura and Purulia where the plant could have been made.

Ratan Tata needs the 400 acres NOT for ancilliary sections but for biofuel generation.

For the farmers, the land has been a source of livelihood for generations. Can Ratan Tata promise jobs for all the future generations of the farmers whose lands has been snatched? Did he promise for even the present generation of all the farmers affected?

Good news for you. Keep the fertile & unfertile & do what you know best: Hold dharnas. You dont have any Tata to fight now. Ratan Tata is not blackmailing anybody. You have a democratic right to protest & he has a democratic right to walk out. You did yours & he did his, so why complain?
