If all goes on as scheduled and the Tatas leave West Bengal, its people should heave a sigh of relief. The TATA group is worse than most industrial houses of our country doing nothing more than doling out alms to whosoever dares oppose their scheme of things. Their oldest venture, the TISCO, is located at Jamshedpur for over a century now but that did not stop the district from being one of the poorest in India. Ratan Tata looks saintly from a distance but this time around we got to see him closely and noticed cracks and fissures all over. He never bothered to take the people of Singur into confidence by listening to their woes in private and addressing at least a part of them. Instead he chose to talk like a Left Front cadre at the Motor Expo while unveiling his pet car by making noises totally uncalled for! If he leaves with his project it will no doubt be a colossal loss for the industrialisation of this state but it will be an eye-opener for all those watching with their eyes half closed.

You know nothing about Jamshedpur. It is WAY WAY better than any other region in whole of East India. Probably the cleanest and least polluted among all. There are lakhs of people earning their fare share of living there, just because of the Tatas. You won't even begin to imagine how empowered the tribal women here are. Sorry mate you are completely off the mark.
