Can this be a drama?
by Arun K Jayaprakash on Sep 02, 2008 10:13 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Guys, can it be a foul play done by TATA and Government together? Though TATAs took the challenge of building a car at 1 lakh, inflation went high in such a scale that TATA motors will have to sell such a car in loss (or atleast not in profits!).

In order to overcome such a situation can it be just a play to postpone or cancel Nano project?

This is just my view and I welcome healthy arguments. Don't bash against me now guys!

When a company moves out of a state, its image takes a beating. So governments won't do that.
And TATA won't make money with 1 lac car which will have very basic things. So they will give upgrades with better features on which they will make profits.

TATAs will find ways to overcome difficulties. They don't play political games.

i think u are right. why anybody is not thinking of the farmers being evicted from thier land. why dont tata pay then the genuine compensation. the land at singur is very fertile and farmers row 3 seasons a year. the land tata got for free from wb govt. they have to pay the price of land in 90 years. but wat the price the land owners are paying. one will understand thier situation only when they are in thier situation. it hardly matters for if nano is 1 lakh or 1.5 laks. if it is good i can pay for it.
