I m agree with the suggestion given by Mr Zuveri. But there is the mot big problem is to implement it successfully. look, in India the persons having four wheelar also having two wheelar upto the limit. now when he buy the oil then the oil pump man will provide the oil on which basis. ok upto some how the revenue will b collected but due to this type of action the complete automobile industry of the country may also come under the trouble. Hope that u understand the thing also in the different angle. I appreciate your calculation but there is a need of further rectification in it. As the problem is certainly so big so it is recommended to hike the price upto a limit to make the oil industry in a healthy pace. well as the matter is not going to solve just by increasing the price so in the current situation wit a decision of increasing the price if some steps also been taken by the Govt with the suitable plan and discuss over the consumption and source of obtaining the oil.

This is interesting.. Essentially stating that the rich people who drive around in mercs and bmws get the benefit of subsidy more than the poor cousings driving around in m800s...
The quick solution could be to give out petrol and price them based on the cc of the car/bike. That is easy.. Everyone has to carry RC book and that clearly mentions the CC. Could be a good work around...
