The Govt is not going to cut Taxes which is imposed on Oil and gas since
1.One of the major revenue for govt. 2 To compensate the loss on subsidy of LPG.(Domestic)
So if people/Govt change the mindset.
1 To use only 4/2 vehicle with a min Specific Milage. 2 Ban SUV/4 Whellers in Cities for some specific time say (Morning /Evening Rush hours) 3 Public vehicle should be improved and plan for maximum ulilization. 4 Let public servants/Govt staff uses a common tranport like VSSC/ISRO. 5.More than 2 vehicles should not be registered in one person name/Address
6 Let the Goa Taxi be implemented all over India. ie 2/4 wheeler can be used as a taxi by any one by paying a small amount as tax, so that many people share the same vehicle. and a small percentage of people may get a small Job.

Good suggestions but is our govt. prepared for organising addl. public transport etc. Does not seem feasible in the near future but we have to go on thse lines certainly in the long run.

BJP led NDA govt was anti-people. It increased ad-valorem tax on fuel. Now we pay 60% of the charge of fuel is tax. BJP has no way to say about price-rise. It is an opportunistic party.
